About The Event

This session addresses a critical challenge in L&D: the gap between strategy development and effective implementation. Many organisations struggle to translate their learning strategies into tangible impact, often due to a lack of practical knowledge on how to design strategies and viable action plans for successful execution.

The session introduces attendees to a proven four-stage process: Diagnose, Strategise, Implement, and Sustain. While touching on all stages, the session focuses primarily on the latter two, where many L&D teams struggle.

Key topics include:

  1. Designing strategies with implementation in mind
  2. Creating a viable action plan that will achieve the vision, goals and shifts in the strategy
  3. Establishing effective governance frameworks that build shared ownership and accountability for strategy implementation
  4. Building flexibility for strategy evolution

The session will feature real-world case studies from various industries, demonstrating how different organisations have successfully implemented and sustained their learning strategies. These examples will illustrate common challenges and effective solutions, providing attendees with practical insights they can apply in their own contexts.

Interactive elements will include a strategy implementation assessment exercise and small group discussions on overcoming implementation barriers. Attendees will leave with practical tools, including a strategy review checklist and guidelines for creating a governance framework.
