Ovolo Hotels are a hospitality group who like to do things differently. As they embarked on a period of rapid growth they saw the need to create an L&D function and onboarded an L&D Manager.
Alexandra Lederer joined the business with no department, no team and no experience in hospitality. But what she did have was a background in marketing.
Challenged to be innovative whilst aligning the L&D function with the out-of-the-box Ovolo approach to business, Alex pushed through her comfort zone and created a brand and culture of learning for the business which is most definitely F.U.N. – Fun, Unconventional, Never boring.
